Noob Question - Linux Mint 10 - Installing from XP
Hey.
I've booted and installed from XP using NetBoot or something like that...
When I rebooted the laptop I was prompted to choose XP or Linux so I chose Linux, then I chose to Boot from the NetBoot thing and it's all working. I'm using it now, but I want to keep it as my main OS. Everything resets when I turn the laptop off and it's annoying....
I have the Install Linux Mint on the Desktop but when I go to do that I get to: Allocate Drive Spac; there is nothing in there except for below it I have Boot Loader with the only path (I can't browse) as /dev/sda
I'm not sure what to do, this is my first time using Linux
Explain in detail please xD
Add me on Skype if you think it will be easier

Thanks

Hello and Welcome!
Was it Unetbootin? Did you install to your hard drive, or to a USB drive?I've booted and installed from XP using NetBoot or something like that...
Boot to Linux, open a terminal, an execute the following command:
That's a lower case L in the command.Code:sudo fdisk -l
Post the output here.Jay
