    Menu bar and desktop icons missing - Mint 14 x64 MATE


    As per the title I seem to have lost the menu bar and any desktop icons. I had recently installed screenlets and was experimenting with a few and restarted. Any suggestions?

    Hmmm, ok - I clicked on the session icon on the login screen and selected MATE as the session and they came back - I wonder how I managed to screw it up?
