    Disk writing trouble

I do a lot of burning of .iso to dvd but when I try to write a lot of the time in linux mint 14 cinnamon I insert the dvd and right click the .iso file and select open with bresareo disk burner. Then it says calculating size of files to burn and it stays stuck like that. Is ther any other way of doing this in linux?

I believe you can use the dd command if you have shell access.
    Reference Below.

Do you get any useful information by running brasero from the terminal?

Check out CD and DVD Writing from the Linux Command Line
This may help. There is many command line tools you can use to burn. I miss read your original post, it was late for me.
