    change username without losing data in home folder


    hi, i just recently bought a laptop from zareason and it came with a username named after my dad. ive figured out how to change the password and the full name for the account but my home folder is still named after him and so is the user name. anyone know a way of changing this without having to backup my home folder and make a new user?

    As user root change the directory name and also change the name in "/etc/passwd".
