    Toshiba Satellite C55-A series cannot connect to wireless

    I am almost entirely new to Linux and I cannot figure out how to get my wireless to work. I've looked over a few tutorials, but my utter noobness has stopped me from finding a way to use the information I have gathered.

    This is all the information I got from a Bash script I found in a getting started tutorial:
    Code:

    For you 2 members asking. Open terminal and post in code tags (# in tool bar) the output of

    Code:
    inxi -F
    Code:
    mintwifi
    Though I doubt in 3 weeks the OP is still listening.

    Also. @Oxymo

    Thanks man the "solved" link did it
    It was a combo of that and another.

    I copy and paste here for anyone else:
    RTL8188ee
    wireless drivers toshiba c55-a

    Get it working with the proprietary Linux driver downloaded directly from realtek's site (RTL8188CE). That package is actually a collection of some common realtek drivers including RTL8188EE.
    1) Download it from : sorry i cant post that and copy it to your desktop (it's about 12 MB download).

    2) Right-click the downloaded file (linux_mac80211_0012.0207.2013.tar.bz2) > "Extract here". This will extract a folder named "rtl_92ce_92se_92de_8723ae_88ee_linux_mac80211 _001 2.0207.2013" on your desktop.

    3) Open a terminal

    First, let's clean up the file :
    cd Desktop/rtl_92ce_92se_92de_8723ae_88ee_linux_mac80211_0012 .0207.2013
    make clean
    Now, let's modify one file:
    gedit pci.h
    At the top of the file,after the comment section all out lined in **, add this sequence:
    #ifndef __devinit
    #define __devinit
    #define __devinitdata
    #endif
    Proofread carefully, save and close gedit. Now do:
    make
    sudo make install
    Finally, load the driver
    sudo modprobe rtl8188ee
    Your wireless should now be working.

    All Kudos to chili555 on ask ubuntu
