Java Error Opening Text File in AOO 4

I am having a problem with Apache OpenOffice's Writer module. This is the error message:

Can not activate the factory for com.surrey.SimpleTextRecognizer because java.lang.ClassCastException: sun.net.www.protocol.file.FileURLConnection cannot be cast to java.net.JarURLConnection

Is this fixable? Or is the problem with AOO?

Yep, it was AOO. Thought I cleaned out the Uno_Packages folder good, but I guess not. Confusing error message doesn't help. Especially since I'm new with Linux and wasn't sure if "factory" was a Linux term or not.

    Thanks for the help.
