The picture won't load. I just installed Wine successfully in PCLinuxOS, but not yet in Mint 17. Since I can't see the picture, here's the query: Are you asking for help in installing Wine to run Windows programs under Mint?

I don't know Play on Linux, but I do know Mint and Wine. The key with Wine is to have the right contextual menu. You first have to set the Wine prefix (meaning, a virtual redirect which Windows will think is the 'C:' drive). And, you can't just install a single dll, there has to be a main executable (exe file), or Windows can't run the dll by itself. Next, system32 contains dlls which are really often icon files, like shell32.dll is a set of icon files. You can indeed extract them by 'gextracticons' (or similar name), a package downloadable in Mint's Synaptic Package Manager, I've used it -- so you don't need Wine for that.

So would you mind clarifying what you want to do? I'm a Windows junkie so you won't get censured by me for liking Windows.
