Can't get wifi installation done from CD

I just downloaded linux, and I have a wifi adapter. The physical adapter is a usb, but it requires a setup from the cd. I can't get the CD to run and start the install. HELP

Are you trying to get this started from within the Live environment?
If so, click on the LM button in the lower left corner, then Administration>Driver Manager and see if you can get it to access the cd that way.

    What USB adapter is this?

I'll try that. I think my problem is that it is a netgear adapter, and the software on the cd is windows software, thus explaining why clicking on the setup button from within the file does nothing. I have this working on the windows software also installed, so it's kind of frustrating that it wont just "work."
