    install AcidRip and Fairstars

I'm trying to install Fairstars 1.90 CD ripper and AcidRip on LM 18.2. Tried command for Acidrip and it stated "package didn't exist". And Fairstars...well I'm not sure if it's Linux compatable. Could someone enlighten me?
    THANX:
    Rick

What is your goal? To make those applications to run in your box or rip CDs? If latter, look here.

    Afternoon Segfault:

My "goal", obviously, is to be able to rip CD's using FAIRSTARS. The reason being FAIRSTARS can encode the .ape format. I liked it when I used it, but I haven't found their program to be adaptable to Linux. Been searching through a multitude of opensource 'rippers" and have yet to find one that rips .ape format. I have been able to install AcidRip! Thanx for replying.

Oh I see, never crossed my mind to use such a weird format.

I've found Fairstars cannot be used in Linux (unless Wined). To bad, it's a very good, easy-to-use "ripper". .ape is not a weird format. Segfault, you really need to get in the game. To install AcidRip, the D/l can be obtained from: https://pkgs.org/download/acidrip
