Fresh install Mint 9 apt-get install xxx fails
I recently did a fresh install of Mint 9. After booting back up, I tried to do my normal -- update and upgrade with apt.
The command apt-get update results in many errors such as:
Failed to fetch "location" archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/u/unattended-upgrades/unattended-upgrades_0.55ubuntu4_all.deb
404 Not Found [IP: 91.189.88.40 80]

E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?
Running apt-get upgrade results in the same concept. It cannot find the repositories....

-- Answering Y gives errors such as:

Naturally, trying to upgrade the distr would not work.
Am I missing something or doing something wrong??
"location" replaced the url since I cannot post a url until 15 posts
EDIT: Pinging these "not found" locations w/o problem.
