Printing Landscape
I have been trying to learn more about linux but there is one problem I am having. When I add printers to my Mint 12 OS I want to make them default print to landscape. What file can I edit and what do I change or put in that file to make this happen?
Thanks

I have tried setting the page settings to landscape and it has not worked. In short the problem appears to be with Arc GIS. It always prints portrait and I need it to go landscape on US legal (8.5 x 14).

I'm using Mint 11 so this may not help. I did run a test to see if I can set the printer to your requirements. From Menu - Admin - Printer - Printer options I set Media size to Legal & pressed Apply. In Job options - in Orientation I selected Landscape then pressed Apply. Ran a couple of tests seems to work. I did change to Printer itself to Legal paper but I'm not sure that was needed. I'm a little short on that size paper so I couldn't run more tests. Hope in some way that helped.

Thanks wimstock but upon further testing upon different linux and web browsers distros I have come to the realization that it is ARC GIS is not very compatible with Linux. I will try doing it through wine to see if a windows simulation will work. I did however try to try what you did and I was still unsuccessful.

Search - Esri - The GIS Software Leader
The above sight indicates a possible Linux solution. I goggled ARC GIS, then "search" Linux. Not sure if any help.
