Problems With Install and Dual Boot Windows/Linux Mint Xfce
Assistance appreciated:
Computer is an older one which cannot be set to boot from USB and only has a cd-rom, not dvd. 3.4 GHz Celeron, 512 RAM, 40 G HDD. I'm trying this before screwing up my main and backup computers.
Installed Windows XP and then used G-Parted to partition HD.
sda1 10Gigs for Windows, 1.1 Gig Swap, 12 Gigs root, the rest home.
At this point Windows booted fine. Used Unetbootin to install Mint Xfce.
Now Xfce boots and runs fine, but Windows does not show on the boot page, only Linux Mint. G-Parted still shows the 4 partitions with the windows partition intact.
1) What did I do wrong?
2) Suggestions to fix it.
Please note that the HDD was completely formatted prior to any installation and I can start all over if necessary, only using my time.
Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the assistance. It's these simple things that can discourage some of us Linux noobies (and old computer semi-literate turkeys)
