Linux stealing USB drivers?

Outfoxed Just Joined! Join Date: Dec 2004 Posts: 2	Linux stealing USB drivers? I'm running a comp with Lilo, alternating between WinXP and Red Hat Linux. My problem is: Whenever I boot up Linux, then boot up XP afterwards, none of the USB ports will respond to any devices, as if Red Hat is taking them up. Is there any way to get Linux to "relenquish" the drivers?

Dunno what the solution is though. Tended to happen most for me with knoppix. No probs though with current hard drive installed distros.
