does anyone know of a good free web hosting site with no popups.
i've tried a few but most of them are really stupid.
they require joing a form and stuff

The best free webhost I've ever seen is http://www.lifelesspeople.com. It has superior services and a cpanel, with very little downtime. The catch is that you "pay" monthly by earning pbpp for posting in their forums. It's worth looking into.

You shold tell, what things you want to have with hosting! PHP? MySQL? CGI?
I could host an accout or two, 100 Mbit connection, PHP, MySQL and CGI.

Same here. It's so great having my own web server!! I hate ads!! And all i did was goto cjb.net for a domain name that points to my (reasonably) static IP. I say reasonably as it's only changed once since i connected it in October!!

Same here. It's so great having my own web server!! I hate ads!! And all i did was goto cjb.net for a domain name that points to my (reasonably) static IP. I say reasonably as it's only changed once since i connected it in October!!

i made afree account there and my e-mail address is linexpert@linexpert.cbj.net but how do i make others email address like other@linexpert.cbj.net

and what exactly do make alias's do?
