| someone mentioned redhat, if you really have redhat reboot with the mouse removed from the computer, kudzu will say hey its gone, tell it to remove configuration. Then reboot again, and plug it back in, when it comes up say configure and selece WHEEL mouse, and it will work... you must not have selected wheel mouse from the beginning (redhat 8.0 has this option, but in my experience doesnt detect it as a wheel, just as a 2/3 button)
as for all 5 buttons, there is code for it somewhere - but i don't know of it
