Yahoo Messenger

After downloading Yahoo Messenger on the LInux and running the /usr/bin/messenger ,there is a error saying segmentation error.
how can i solve that and install yahoo messenger on Linux

A segmentation fault means that there is a bug in the program. Check that you have the latest version of the program, and, if you have the latest version, submit a bug report to the developer team. They can probably help you solve it.

don't worry about the yahoo produced binary. I hear it isn't that good anyway. Check out gaim (gaim.sf.net) that supports yahoo, msn, aim, gadu-gadu, jabber, etc. etc. etc.

yeah, before i remembered gaim did yahoo i was trying to set it up for someong, i got it to run, but it liked to crash alot...
