mace Linux Newbie Join Date: Jun 2006 Posts: 122	Question about logins I seem to remember someone telling me about root login. Now someone is telling me differnet. I thought the - sets the enviroment where as the non dash doesn't. Is there a difference between logging in as su and su - ?????? thanks Mace

Yes, there is. You can read up on su options and explanations here:
