Grub Error 17 with VMWare
I am having problems using Fusion's "bootcamp" to boot VM from a native install of WinXP on my hard drive. I am using Grub on my MacbookPro as my hard drive is MBRed.
Unfortunately VM hangs on Grub for me, yielding an "Error 17".

According to this gentoo thread:
17 : Cannot mount selected partition
This error is returned if the partition requested exists, but the filesystem type cannot be recognized by GRUB.
FYI I'm running OSX, WinXP, Visa (once I get around to it), and Linux on an MBRed hard drive in my MacBookPro with Grub, mainly so I can use Grub hiding between the XP and Vista install like my PC setup. I had to push an image of OSX onto the mbred hard drive, as OSX will not install to a mbred hard drive natively, but will run nicely once there. More info here if you are curious.
Thanks,
DrCR
