Alright, so i am having troubles getting a temporary form of linux to run either inside windows or off of a flash-drive. I would use a live cd of a distro i have, but there are either no, or very few, disk drives available. does anybody have any suggestions for programs that do this, or distros specifically for this purpose?

You can try Distrowatch.com and put pendrive in the search criteria ... this lists a few distributions.
