gpm customization mouse without x
I'm currently running debian etch on an IBM laptop with no x interface. Everything is peachy but I would like to use a mouse to send commands to the shell. For example when I click on the left mouse button I want it send a command for instance "ls -l" because this is a command I frequently would otherwise have to type. I just installed gpm, could gpm be reconfigured for this? Any other ideas would be quite helpful as well. Thanks in advance don't hesitate to ask for additional info.

I don't know if gpm could be used like this, but if so it would likely say in the man page.

Well I have read the man page and I can't seem to figure anything out that would let me do what I would like to do. If you do know anyother utilities or ways to do this it would be nice.
