sound problems in Red Hat 8
I just installed Red Hat 8 and for some reason i'm having problems playing audio files. During installation, it detected my sound card (SB Live) just fine, but now I can't get any audio files to work on XMMS or any of the other players. It just refuses to play anything, but all the system sounds work fine. Any ideas?

How do you mean that the players "refuse" to play anything? I know that the RedHat 8.0 XMMS distribution won't play MP3 files, due to that MP3 is strangely licensed and interferes with the GPL, Oh mother of all good. You can download support for it, though, if you go to www.xmms.org. They have a notice on it on the first page.
Are there any other problems?
