dcfldd/hexdump help...
I am relatively new to Linux but can safely make my way around the environment...
Two questions:
Is anyone familiar with dcfldd? If so, how do I use the command line to wipe a drive using a fill other than 'zero'?
When using hexdump...actually I need a Lamens term definition for it and how to use it on the command line... the man pages aren't helping me out much...
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me out!

If you want to wipe a drive check out "badblocks" in safe mode it maintains the data integrity but in write mode testing it will utterly hammer anything stored on your disk. you can also change the default behaviour.. "man badblocks"
