ebay on linux
I googled for suggestions for buying and selling on ebay using my linux box and most of the responses indicated that there are a lot of problems with linux and ebay and that ebay chooses not to support linux. Google did not offer me any forums or resources that would help define and address these problems. I have never registered with ebay on any OS so am not familiar with their site. However, I am somewhat familiar with HTML and JavaScript so, with the help of templates I see offered everywhere, I would be comfortable hosting the pictures and inserting code. Can anyone offer a site, forum, book or other resource that would help make it possible to use ebay with linux? TIA

you dont need anything other than a web browser to use ebay.... and linux, like windows, has a few of those.

out of curiosity, did they say specificaly wasnt supported? linux supports everything with the web that windows does... I use mozilla on windows to view ebay and that works (and i beleve that the windows version of mozilla and the linux verision use the same display rules.

Windows supports everything on the web windows does, except Shockwave. I feel bad, my g/f only uses the web for two things and one of them needs shock. I feel bad....

Re: ebay in linux
The problems I noticed in my search referenced uploading pictures through the ebay picture manager rather than a link to a hosted site.
