John The Ripper. Need Help
Hi everyone.
Im facing a bit of a problem with john the ripper. I have an assignment where Im supposed to crack a Linux passwords. Im using an incremental attack but as im told it would take me 7 days non stop to crack the password. so we as a group(3) are supposed to share the work, meaning one would start from 2 to 5 characters, second person from 6 to 8 and third person from 9 to 10(max 10 characters) characters. Does anybody know how to configure the john the ripper to do so? Ive read the tutorials but to tell u the truth, i didnt understand much. :P
Appreciate any help
