    Is there a light C compiler?



    I'm using Puppy Linux because I'm on a computer with very little RAM. When I downloaded the GNU C compiler GCC and tried to extract it, the computer went to 100% on the processor and after 1 hour still hadn't extracted it (It was 43 MB compressed). Is there a smaller C compiler?

    tcc - Tiny C compiler

    This is the compiler that comes with (or at least used to come with) Damn Small Linux for the express reason that it is so lightweight.
