Installing pre installed packages
I'm trying to install cernlib. Their recommended way to install CERNLIB is from the preinstalled distribution kits. I downloaded a set of preinstaled kits. Anybody could tell me how to install these files in my system

Hi and Welcome !
Isn't there any README or Install.txt file in pre-installed kit? There must me installation instructions too.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Thank you for your reply. Their was no installation instruction in the readme file. It has only one line instruction is over their it is "Once you select the package you should save it to your own file system".

It looks like CERNLIB has binaries only. Have you tried to execute any binary?
Code:chmod +x file_name ./file_name
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
