Problem on burning CD

I think you need root access to record. Also wodim uses Linux device names rather than the scsi x,y,z convention. So sudo wodim -v -eject -tao dev=/dev/scd0 /path/to/ubuntu-8.04.1-desktop-i386.iso should do it.

Have you tried using a different disc. It seems like 75MB is successfully written to the disc and then some sort of writing problem occurs.

It is not the problem of the CD-RW. I found the trick. "-tao" should be dropped.
$ wodim -eject -v dev=/dev/scd0 Desktop/archlinux-2008.06-core-x86_64.isoWodim also works as USER. ThanksCode:...... Starting to write CD/DVD at speed 10.0 in real TAO mode for single session. ......
