i bet this question has been asked alot. whats the best IM client for linux?
i use Aim and msn
im using Mandriva 2009 RC2 GNOME
and i cant seem to find a good IM client. i dont like Pidgen
this is offtopic below
Firefox's spell checker thinks every word is spelled wrong and theres a line under it.
Can someone help with that?

I'm not so sure there is a "best" client since all people don't think the same.
However, you can take a look here for some options that might work for you:

My personal opinion for msn im program, you can use Amsn. It has almost all features that MSN Live has.
