Modem/Ethernet information

I wanted to find a information about the 56k modem and Ethernet being integrated altogether in my Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop cuz since both of it are winmodem. There, I found a information but I'll admit that some of it are little too technical for me. I'd like you guys read the information below and reply with a few suggestions of way I can find the driver/software for it thru the internet. thx.

The driver for the ethernet card comes with your distro; it's called 3c59x. I'm surprised it didn't auto-detect when you installed the system.

I don't know about the modem, though. See if you can find anything at http://www.linmodems.org/.

I run SuSE 8.2 Pro on my Compaq 1200 with a Conexant integrated 56k modem...There is an rpm that I found that works great..it is HSFmodem or something or rather... If you cant find it shoot me an email and I will gladly send it to you...
