recover partition table
first i had windows installed in my system...later i was in need of linux...so i deleted everything and installed fedora....now i want to get back my deleted partition...but sofware downloaded from net is not running in fedora...what software is preferable to recover the partition table and it should run in fedora.....

I'd recommend trying TestDisk to recover your partition tables.
The easiest way to get it and run it is from liveCD. PartedMagic is a good option for that if you want to try it.
