    linux developed code on solaris

    hi all

    i installed redhat linux9 on intel machine.and i loaded oracle 9i with forms/reports9i on this machine. i have developed applicationon on it.
    can i run this application on sun fire 280r server. does it supports.what kind of problems may arise. can u help me out.

    What OS is the sun machine running?

    If Solaris at the very least you will have to port the software unless it's very generic and simple and this could mean a complete rewrite if the libraries you used were vastly different.

    If you have linux on the machine you might be able to get away with a simple recompile using that machine.'s compiler if your lucky.
