    cron task


    Ok, im trying to schedule a cron task for
    ntpdate time.nist.gov
    to run every 2 hours or every hour, I enter cron daily, but there are no entries and I cannot remember the syntax for a entry any good cron howto's or ideas out there?

    Time syncing every hour or two? Sounds to me that there must be very serious problems with your systems real time clock if it needs updating that frequently.

    1 1 * * * root ntpdate tick.clara.net
    That is my crontab line to do it once a day at 1 minute past 1 am
