console question.
i hv a linux server in the lab and another one at my desk a few corridors away. is there a way in which i can get the console screen of the server in the lab on my linux desktop so that i dont hv to go to the lab everytime to see what the server is doing??

Probably your best bet is like qub333 mentioned, try connecting via SSH. That's what we did at my college. Over a fast network connection you won't notice any difference in responsiveness than if you were actually sitting at the server.. Of course, that's provided your server ALLOWS ssh connections...
