Linux + win 2008 easy print
having the following problem:
I have a terminal server with Windows 2008 installed on it. The goal is to use the easy print technology (which allows you to take your local printer to terminal session) as on windows thin clients as on a linux thin clients too.
What are the client/server requirements?
On the (Terminal) server-side, Windows Server 2008 needs to be installed. No additional drivers need to be installed; no additional configuration needs to take place. The Terminal Services Easy Print driver is enabled by default.
On the client-side, to use the Terminal Services Easy Print driver, clients must be running Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) 6.1 and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1) must be installed.
I was searching on the internet and did not find any info about that problem.
What do u think is it possible:
- to use windows easy print technology on linux thin client?
- to emulate remote desktop client 6.1?
- to emulate .net framwork 3.0 (with the hellp of Mono for example)?
- will this emulation help?
Thank you in advance.
