    speech recognition: CVoiceControl

I installed CVoiceControl successfully but can't configure my microphone b/c it "can't find my audio mixer" which I have. It's looking for /dev/mixer* and I have it. I even found it in the source but they evaluate this "glob("/dev/mixer*", 0, NULL, &result)" I have no idea what this glob function does or returns. I can't find anyone else with this prob online.

    maybe this'll help? cat /dev/sndstat
Sound Driver:3.8.1a-980706 (ALSA v1.0.15 emulation code)

    Config options: 0

    Installed drivers:
    Type 10: ALSA emulation

    Card config:
HDA Intel at 0xdfebc000 irq 16

    Audio devices:

I'm just looking for voice control in a Virtual Terminal. Has any one tried this software or have had success with speech recognition?

    Thanks
