Help with the mic and webcam
i have a Linux (model no. ZG5)
and it has a built in mic and web cam - i was wondering if i can get the mic working while taking videos with the webcam so that the video will have sound. I also cant get my mic to work when i try to make a video call on msn - my web cam isnt always available on msn either.
on the volume control i have it full volume, the mic boost and mic capture is also at its highest.
Any help?
thank you xx

Hi Isabelle. I googled linux ZG5, and I'm guessing you have an Acer Aspire One? The linux distribution on this computer is called Linpus Lite, and is based on a distro called Fedora, though an older version, Fedora 8. I've never used one of these machines, but I would assume, unless you or someone else has put a different linux version on there, that they would support their own hardware out of the box! Though I haven't exactly heard rave reviews about the operating system... Anyway, can you confirm that you have an Aspire One and that you or someone else hasn't changed the default linux distro?
