I like Puppy but I'm afraid it wouldn't work there as seen in Wikipedia the minimum Requirements even for version 0.6 were 48MB RAM (with installation less) but 8MB is too far away.
On my homepage you can find older Versions some Distros but I don't know none yet that might work
