Alright, thank you! I guess it worked, because I just installed VLC - I couldn't before. Yeah. synaptic was using RPMs i believe. Another thing... I only have two options ...

    Another thing... I only have two options for screen resolution: 800x600 and 640x480. What should I do to get higher resolutions? My monitors max is 1600x1200.

    It would probably be best if you closed this thread and started a new one, in the Fedora section. Be sure to include as much info as possible and issue this command, paste the output into the new thread.

    Also, issue this command and paste it there too.
