    Changing permissions

    I would like to change the following with Chmod if possible:

    -rwsr-sr-x 1 root dip to -rwsr-sr-x 1 root root. (only change dip to root., or if I
    understand it correctly...change dip group to root group.
    I am a newbie of sorts, or at the beginners level for months.

    You need to be root to do this - chgrp root filename
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

    Tyvm Rubberman, I thought I was going to have to wait weeks. I was elated when I applied the chgrp command, and it worked. I had one more question. I posted this in misc, was this the most appropriate place to post? Frank

    Hi this is Prem from Bangalore may i know where to download vmd-1.8.6.bin.LINUX.opengl.tar.gz and how to install the software pls let me know...
