PC Companion & Media Go (Sony Ericsson Phone)
Hello everyone!
My wife just got a Sony Ericsson (W705) cellphone. It has some multimedia features that I was able to sync in my xp partition after installing the CD (PC Companion) and downloading software (Media Go).
May I please know if its possible to sync the same in my linux partitions? Preferably in Linux Mint 7 please.
Thank you very much!Last edited by nujinini; 01-18-2010 at 02:36 AM. Reason: add info

Assuming they don't have Linux software, then you have two options:
1. Try to install/run under Wine.
2. Run on Windows in a virtual machine.
Option 1 is great if it works. Option 2 is the most reliable.Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
Just remember, Semper Gumbi - always be flexible!

1. Try to install/run under Wine.
I guess I might have a better chance with VirtualBox for now.Code:2. Run on Windows in a virtual machine.
Thanks again Rubberman

The only way is by installing it on VirtualBox. I made a tutorial on how you can do this and connect your phones USB to VirtualBox

I can't post URL's yet. Need to have written 15 more postes before I can post URL's, but if you mail me at hanna.camille@hannacam.net then I can send you the link
I tried Wine, but there was no way to get it to work
