Linux Boot Problems
I installed Red Hat 8 default on my computer. Then some weeks later I had to temporarily install Win 98 on a different parition and this completely messed up the boot sector. I can't get Linux to boot now and I was wondering if there was a way of avoid the reformat by repairing the boot sector?

download a grub boot disk, it will boot anything. I carry one with me when I go out to do jobs, just in case. Read the manual, because all you will have to work with when it boots is a command line.
