    IMAP trouble...

yes, I am back, with ever so troubling endeavours with IMAP...
I now can connect with my mail server, which is running Postfix with the Cyrus IMAP package...but it seems that I am not getting authenticated...
I have dug a little in the /etc/imap.conf file, but have no prevail...at least now I am hitting the server. I can log on anonymously if I enable it in the config file, but I want to get MY mail (my user)

any help will be much, much appreciated,
