    characters after number and date

    Hi

    I am using SLES 10 sp3 with the c++ compile that it came with. Whenever, I write number or date to a file control characters are appended to the end? Any suggestion why this is happening?

    What editor are you using? Are you writing those via a terminal and using copy/paste from a windows text file? Please provide more details
