    I need a lightweight version of linux to use for emulation


    I need a version of linux that i can use to run MAME. no more, no less. The computer is about 10-12 years old, used to run windows 98. it has somewhere from 150-256 MB of ram, 20GB of HDD space, and a pentium II processor it'd be great if i could use a frontloader to make it look better, but that's not all that important

    Try tinycore, tinyme, or slitaz. All three are billed as minimal small footprint distro's, and are available at distrowatch.com.

    perhaps it's better i use DOS for what i'm trying to do
