How do I upgrade to pulseaudio 1.0?
I have searched for hours, and I haven't found anything other than source packages (and not even the .deb kind) I am not going to install it from source. It takes far too many dependencies and I don't see how anyone can have the patience to track down all the dependencies just to install one program. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04, and I honestly don't think I should have to upgrade the entire OS just to upgrade one package.

Well, quite frankly, if it's not available in the repos, installing from source is pretty much what you may be looking at.
*EDIT*
It looks like some newer versions of Ubuntu have version 1.0 available, so you may be able to do some searching to find a proper package.
Although, dependencies might still be required.Jay
