id like a recommendation for a DSL like Linux
small (up to 1 CD 50-150M is preferable)
can be booted from an ISO file in the HD
preferable- extensional (like DSL is whit the "myDSL Application Extensions")
    preferable- debian based
preferable- can run from mem (as in DSL toram)

    Hello and Welcome!

The bast ideas that I have would be TinyCore, Puppy, antiX or maybe a minimal Debian installation.
The first two are probably the smallest, and TC uses extensions to install various applications.
antiX is Debian based, and runs on a very small footprint.

I've played around with Puppy and antiX a few times, but really don't have extensive experience with them. Others may chime in with other suggestions or more detailed information.

I run debian etch on my ARM development board, and booting with nfs enabled (and remote file system), it takes less than 15MB of RAM to get a fully functional shell (bash) and be ready to run embedded applications.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

    Just a little FYI, here.
Robert Shingledecker, the main developer of DSL is now the founder and head of the Tiny Core project.
That may be part of the reason that it has some appeal for you.
