Ubuntu vs. Xubuntu
So, i'm quite a noob, but digging the .deb world of gnu/linux. I quite like Ubuntu, but as many, am not fond of some policies the distro is supporting and continuing, but also as a fan of dropdown menu - Is Xubuntu really, as someone on another boards stated - Ubuntu without the bull***t?
Thanks in advance!
(no flame bait intended, so please be civil, i'm just asking).

The main difference between Ubuntu and Xubuntu is the Desktop Environment (Unity and Xfce, respectively).
You may notice a slight difference in the choices of default applications as Xubuntu may try to avoid installing any unwanted dependencies.
Other than that, they are the same system under the hood.Jay
