    thanks, this is a good start. now I just need to figure out how to write a bash script to give it the desired behavior. I have not realy don a lot of bash scripting but its' gonna look somthing like this..
    #!/bin/bash
    rsstail -u (some hardcoded url)
    sleep 15s
    (some command to exit rsstail)
    rsstail -u (the next hardcoded url)

    ...and this all has to be in some infinit loop

    Thanks Again

    here's an easy infinite loop for bash:

    Code:
    while :; do
      # echo some code
      sleep 5
    done

    I have come up with a script that looks like this..
    Code:
    #!/bin/bash
    while :;
    do
    rsstail -u (link to feed) & PID=$!
    sleep 15s
    kill $PID
    rsstail -u (link to feed)  & PID=$!
    sleep 15s
    kill $PID
    done
    ~
    works great
