NEWB: How to find libc version
Hello all, this is my first post so forgive any mistakes that I might make.
I am having a problem with my Xwindows starting properly. I have read about this in the Xwindows posts, and at nvidia (I have an Nforce Board),and at the Xfree86 web site and have a good idea about what to do and what to try. My problem is; To download the correct files for Xfree86 I need to know how to find the version of libc that I have. The page tells me to test all of the binaries individually (YIKES)!! Is there an easier way to find what libc version I am running? Iam Running RH8.0 if that helps. I am probably Missing something totally obvious. Thank you in advance to all of those who answer my post.

Try to use this command....
If you are using rpm-packages...like on redhatCode:rpm -qa |grep glibc

Thank You andutt. I hope I get the info I need. I'm at work so I can't try it just yet. Will post the outcome here.
