    Suggest me some projects please

    Hello Everybody,

    I want to do a project in any OOPL(Java,C++) and Linux as the platform.The duration is 2 & half months. It can also be an extension to a present open source project. It is better if it contains some design patterns.

    What do u think of a simulation project?? Please give me some ideas.

    You could try to update the apt4rpm project to allow force installs, etc. (it's written in c++). it's not very well commented as of a couple months ago, but it's definitely a project.

    A few of the more popular 'beginner projects' are IM clients and text editors.

    Let us know what you choose to do. It would be cool to follow the progress of it as I'll be taking a course this semester involving OO C++.
